HR Manager - Hastings
Salary: CIRCA £35k (plus 11% pension contribution)
ARK Schools is a fast growing and successful education charity seeking to establish an outstanding network of inner city academies in London, Birmingham, Portsmouth and Hastings. With 27 academies open and an aim to have 50 schools open by 2015, this is a unique opportunity to join a thriving organisation.
We are seeking to appoint an experienced and committed HR Manager to provide support, advice and guidance to colleagues, academy principals and senior staff in relation HR matters. The role will be predominantly based in the Hastings area, working with the staff of two schools which have recently transitioned to the ARK network. This is a key role which will see the successful candidate leading on all HR-related matters and acting as the representative for the ARK Schools HR Team, ensuring the schools can operate as efficiently as possible in the period following their transition to the network.
The ideal candidate will have a good deal of experience working in HR at a managerial level and working in a unionised environment, preferably with knowledge and experience of schools/education sector. We are seeking an individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, who is able to work independently as well as part of a wider team.
