Location – Central London, with some travel

Contract type – Interim/FTC

Duration – 6 months initially

Start – ASAP

Day rate - £350 per day – may flex to £400

Salary if on a fixed term contract – Circa £60-65k

What will be keeping you busy?

Our client, a large, well-known organisation based in London and with sites around the country, is looking for a senior HR professional with experience of managing large TUPE projects as they have recently won a major contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a great client at a time of real change. You will triage questions around the TUPE transfer of around 300 people, ensure all data is kept up to date and attend some consultations. This is not a unionised environment but there are employee reps. You will be dealing with a client that is detail focused and very paternalistic. You will need to be detailed, friendly and outgoing in your approach.

Who are we looking for?

They need someone that has worked at a reasonably senior level within HR, has extensive project delivery experience and can demonstrate a real track record of managing TUPE and transformation projects from an HR perspective. The successful candidate will have experience of the following:

  • Management of complex TUPE programmes
  • Management of consultation processes
  • Contract negotiations and a strong understanding of legal frameworks
  • Transformation communications
  • Change Management
  • Compensation and Benefits
  • Learning and Development (useful)
  • Experience of coaching leaders and stakeholder engagement experience
  • Project management experience

Essentially we are looking for a strong senior generalist with project experience but also someone who has exposure to TUPE work as this is fundamental to this role. In addition to the mechanics and contract negotiations required with managing the TUPE transfer of up to 300 people into the business, it is also key that the cultural and engagement aspects are handled effectively. This is a very important contract for the business and it is imperative that this work is handled by someone that knows what they are doing without the need for hand holding.

You will need to be someone that is a self-starter who can prioritise your work effectively. In return you will get to work on a really interesting project with a great business and some fantastic colleagues.
