HR Business Partner

Headquartered in Central London, Wellcome Trust is a large charitable foundation known throughout the world for supporting leading scientific research. With an investment portfolio of over £23 billion Wellcome supports a range of social and medical research projects across the globe, all focused on making to world a better place.

Our people are truly at the heart of everything we do. The research work doesn't happen on its own; it needs great individuals and teams to complete the fantastic work achieved throughout the world.

With a new People leadership team in place, we have begun scoping out what we need to deliver to support all aspects of Wellcome's strategic plan. This has created an opportunity for an experienced HR Business Partner (HRBP) on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Reporting to the Head of HR Business Partnering, this role provides a key interface between the People function and the rest of Wellcome. The HRBP will own the People Plan for their business area and ensure that the plan is aligned to Wellcome's strategic direction and values principles.

We are looking for someone who will work closely with and support managers and members of the Executive Leadership Team, as well as with HR subject matter specialists such as Reward, Talent Acquisition and L&D, in the delivery of strategic initiatives and plans; ensuring the people implications of each plan are fully considered.

The HRBP will be required to ensure that their business area is clear on their accountabilities and what they need to deliver in the short and medium term to meet their operational plans. This includes having clarity on the organisational structures and people capability required. In addition, the role will be required to manage strategic HR projects and organisational change in their area and ensure that all main people interventions are well planned and well delivered.

This role requires a track record in delivering successful OD projects and supporting major organisational change, including the ability to conduct diagnosis, analyse findings, generate options and build commitment to solutions. Candidates should possess strong analytical and numerical skills and have recent experience of working successfully with senior stakeholders.

If you are an HR expert with the confidence to coach and influence senior managers across a multi-discipline organisation and feel that you will be able to contribute to Wellcome's mission we would like to hear from you.

Wellcome encourages applications from all individuals who align with the organisation's values and vision, with experience from any relevant sector whether public, private or voluntary. Wellcome values talented people from all backgrounds who can help to make our vision a reality
