Job Title – HR Manager

Location – Wimbledon with occasional travel to Portsmouth

Salary - £45k plus 10% on-target bonus

Contract Type - Permanent

We've grown a lot since we first started out in 1998 as a specialist online ski travel agency, we’re now absolute experts in Cruise holidays too, and our passion remains at the core of everything we do.

As our business grows, the HR team evolves to suit its needs. We’ve introduced a specialist Talent Acquisition team, and we have specialists looking after our offices and facilities. We have L&D embedded into the business and now we have an opportunity within the core HR team which is made up of an HR Advisor, HR Manager and Head of HR.

THE ROLE

The HR Manager is an integral part of the HR team and as such you will be the key point of contact within the department for our people managers. There is a focus on employee relations as is often the case with a role of this nature. You will be handling ER case work that will cover grievances, disciplinaries, absence and performance management.

There is also the opportunity to reduce this side of the role by leading projects to increase our people management capabilities to develop our people into engagement experts, not just line managers. You will need to juggle the business as usual HR duties with input and leadership into key projects so you will get good variety in your role here.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

As this role has broad scope, we are looking for a career focussed HR specialist. You will need to be commercial & confident with a tenacity to take ownership of your responsibilities.  You will be a great listener, be able to multi-task and be a great contributor to the team.  A relevant HR qualification is preferred. You will need to be a hands on person used to working in a fast moving environment.

The more efficient that you are in delivering the day-to-day tactical HR work, the more time you will have to push on and develop in other areas, getting involved in more senior projects that truly shape the organisation. If you’re motivated by being able to say “I created, that, and I made that happen”, we’ll get on. I am too.

You will be someone who constantly seeks to improve HR and Operational ways of working and is truly passionate about what they do. If you can act on your own initiative and work autonomously whilst taking responsibility for decisions, finding practical solutions in tight time frames then this could be a great job for you.

This is not a siloed role and you will gain exposure at all levels and get to understand the business and what makes it tick. You will have to work hard here but it will be incredibly rewarding.
