Client Details
The client is a unique and fast paced consumer business with aspirations to be in the Times top 10 companies to work for and a FTSE 100 organisation. They have recently gone through significant changes and continue to do so making this a period of storming and forming to create a platform for further success. Based in Yorkshire and the Humber with sites across the UK, being based on the M62 or M1 would be ideal. A very engaged workforce, they are looking for a L&D specialist who can be innovative and delivery on commercial business goals through effective leadership development.
Description
The Head of Organisational Development & Talent will cover a breadth of activities including
- Behavioural change and development of leadership behaviours
- Cultural change across all departments including production and logistics to include a Safety culture
- Delivering effective coaching and upskilling people managers to coach in the moment
- Reviewing and implementing changes to the talent strategy and model
- Evolving current succession processes and driving improvements
- Leading the L&D and training teams either directly or indirectly
- Utilising the current LMS/HR systems and maximising capability
- Driving improvements in the use of the apprenticeship levy and exploring potential revenue streams
- Senior Stakeholder management
Profile
To be successful for the interim Head of Organisational Development & Talent candidates must demonstrate on application
- Experience of operating a similar level in large organisations
- Examples of blended learning including commercial outcomes and ROI
- Change management and cultural change
- Talent Management experience and examples of working collaboratively with Talent Acquisition
- Extensive leadership and organisational development examples
- A coaching qualification ideally
- Strong Stakeholder management skills at senior level
- A agile approach to working and demonstrable examples that you are comfortable working in changing situations with pace
- Resilience and personal gravitas
Job Offer
The role of Head of Organisational Development & Talent will be over a period of 12 months initially and will be full time but 4 days may be considered for the Right person. The client is open to considering both fixed term and day rate candidates at this stage dependant on budgetary requirements.
