My client are a global FMCG business with over 10,000 UK employees and a head office in Market Drayton.

They are currently recruiting in the HR Shared Service centre department for a HR Shared Service Employee Relations Advisor for a Fixed Term of c12 months.

This role would suit an experienced HR Advisor who is looking to expand their experience within a centralised Tier 2 service centre.They are looking for an individual to be accountable for delivering high quality, consistent and compliant ER advice by supporting and guiding Line Managers and Employees through the process of disciplinary, grievance and absence cases.

Key responsibilities will include:

* To act as the first HR point of contact for Line Managers and Investigating Managers for disciplinary, grievance and absence cases by providing advice via the most appropriate methods of communication.
* To ensure fair and consistent case management by guiding and directing Line Managers through disciplinary, grievance and absence procedures and completing associated activities, including the issuing of invite and outcome letters and creating investigation packs from a central location.
* To actively promote a 'right first time' approach by following HR policies and processes in line with internal SLAs and KPIs.
* To escalate high risk cases to local HR teams at appropriate trigger points and seek advice and guidance from HR Shared Service ER Manager and/ or Senior ER Managers if any risks to the business are identified
* To maintain and update all case notes and fully utilise associated work flows on the HR Shared Service case management tool.
* To ensure governance & compliance of HR data by storing and allocating all employee documentation to the employee file.
* On rota basis, to allocate daily HR Shared Service activity to the wider HR SSC team.
* To support wider HR team with key projects, process reviews and activities as and when required.
* To remain up to date on relevant employment legislation and promote continuous improvement by challenging the 'status quo', seeking and recommending improved ways of working within the HR Shared Service Centre.


What you'll need to succeed

* Educated to 'A' Level standard or equivalent.
* Qualified or studying towards CIPD Level 5 is desirable.
* Proven ER experience including advising on disciplinary, grievance and absence cases
* Minimum 2 years' experience in HR/ER Advisory role.
* Excellent influencing and negotiation skills / not afraid to challenge and offer solutions and recommendations.
* Experience working in a high volume, busy environment and ability to multi-task when under pressure.
* High attention to detail and levels of accuracy.
* Excellent communication skills including face to face, written and oral.
* High level of IT skills including MS Office Excel, Power Point and Word
* Excellent planning and organising skills and highly motivated.
* Ability to work alone or as part of a team.* Knowledge of relevant employment legislation.
