Our vision

Thank you for your interest in joining the Workforce, Organisational Development (OD) and Delivery Support Directorate (WODDS) at West Sussex County Council. My name is Natasha Edmunds, and as Director of WODDS, I would like to encourage you to join our directorate at this exciting time as we move forward with delivering our vision, which is to enable the organisation to deliver high performance, to best deliver our range of services to the residents and businesses of West Sussex. 

The Workforce, Organisational Development (OD) and Delivery Support Directorate (WODDS) comprises of a range of services, brought together to ensure that all the levers for organisational change are in one place.  These services include HR, Change, Organisational Development, Learning and Development, Performance and IT.  

We have ourselves just been through a process of change, and are clear about what we are trying to achieve.  We have an ambitious business plan, and are focused on challenging, supporting and, most importantly, enabling the organisation to achieve its goals.

Our Organisation – Our Values

West Sussex County Council employs around 6,000 staff with an additional 21,000 staff employed by schools, funded directly by the Dedicated Schools Grant. It provides 80% of local government services across West Sussex’s 770 square miles.
