IHRE

This will be the fourth in our series of Autumn events and we will be returning to the iconic Edgbaston Stadium, scene of many great international sporting triumphs across the years and which, on 5th October, will be home to a day full of conversation, networking and learning about the latest trends, innovations, challenges, and solutions within InHouse Recruitment!

We are pleased to welcome for the first time as our gold sponsors Appcast, whose award-winning programmatic technology and data-driven process helps make it easier to identify and hire qualified candidates for all your roles, whilst Job Look Up will be sponsoring our show bags. We are also excited to announce RNIB as our D & I event supporter. They have specialist assessment tool for recruiters, and we recommend applying for their ’Tried and Tested’ certification which lets blind and partially sighted people know that your site is accessible and usable, whilst demonstrating your company’s commitment to inclusivity.

The InHouse Recruitment community are certainly living in interesting and challenging times! As we move towards the close of 2022, we hear about talent shortages, and the cost-of-living crisis, which is certainly putting the spotlight on candidate expectations in terms of salary packages. Many businesses are needing to hire talent quickly and at scale, putting increased pressure on their recruitment teams to identify, attract and hire the right people, as recruitment processes become transformed by investment in new conversational and predictive technologies.

We still hear much talk of the ‘Great Resignation’ and ’Quiet Quitting’ placing extra pressure on recruiters to identify the talent they need. Help will be at hand during IHRESummit22 in Birmingham, as we will be showcasing many stories and experiences from senior recruitment professionals able to share how they have overcome their challenges, and some of the newest technology solutions to help you achieve the best results.

In 2022 there has also been much focus on Internal Mobility and in our Midday seminar on 5th October you will be able to hear Jason Tunney of So Energy explain why it is the key to creating a truly diverse workforce. Tara O’Brien, from Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust will share their journey from reactive vacancy filling to proactive strategic talent planning and show you how to develop your own talent plan with some of the practical tools available. The the pressure on resourcing professionals, First Port UK’s Head of Resourcing Natalie Lewis will demonstrate what a great InHouse Recruitment team should look like and which activities they need to focus on.

Successful InHouse Recruitment needs great interviewers and Daniel Wells, Director of People at Talent Point will be sharing the repercussions of bad versus good interviewing, and how to ask great questions. Raj Hunjan, Senior Global TA Partner at Check Point Technologies will take us through a great recruitment process, from interviewing to offering and through to onboarding, sharing best practice and useful insights. And with technology playing such a key role in all our recruitment processes, Freya Steuhmeir from Veeam Software will offer key tips and insights into how to adopt new technology in a session not to be missed!

In our Masterclass sessions Mark Hopkins, Director of Thomas Lee Recruitment, will be looking at how to create recruitment influence through social media, showcasing your business and opportunities by being informative, open and, most importantly, human. Consultants IIOP will talk about how to be an employer of choice in there current market and Mervyn Dinnen, the analyst, author, influencer and podcaster on talent trends, will be asking why, after billions being invested in recruitment technology, the Candidate experience os still so cr*p!

We can’t wait to welcome you all back to Birmingham on 5th October for a day full of learning and insights!
