Reward Specialist - London
SALARY - Starting pay circa £42k to £59k, depending on experience, with further progression available.

With around 55,000 officers, staff and volunteers, the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) is the biggest police service in the country. To protect London, we must use these resources effectively, making sure our employees are rewarded properly for all their hard work. As a Reward Specialist, you’ll be part of a new team within Strategic HR, shaping our thinking on key reward policies.
Strategic HR is tasked with delivering the MPS people strategy through a team of subject matter experts and other HR professionals who make up a flexible resource pool. As part of this department, you’ll share knowledge and best practice, making sure new Reward policies are implemented. A major part of the role will be gathering and sharing intelligence on reward policies and practices. You’ll also find areas where we can improve and challenge current working practices, directly engaging unions, staff representatives and working party groups. The aim is to design and develop new reward benefits and terms & conditions, in collaboration with partners.
With CIPD membership (or equivalent), you’ll be an experienced HR professional with extensive specialist knowledge of reward policies and practices, especially operating within large, structured organisations and working with trade unions and staff associations. What’s more, you have a proven track record of designing and introducing reward strategies, plus the ability to deliver projects. Thanks to these talents (and your knowledge of relevant legislation), you’ll be ready to challenge the status quo, advise senior staff and excel in a fast-paced environment.
