What you’ll be doing

We are looking for a talented Learning & Development Manager to join our fantastic HR team on a one year fixed term contract.  Reporting to the Head Talent, Resourcing & Development your role will have two main elements.  Firstly, we need you to help us on an organisation wide culture transformation towards a 70:20:10 approach to learning and development.  Initially you will work with one area of the business to plan and deliver a pilot that will encourage on the job learning, help line managers to act as coaches and mentors and give learners access to learning from a variety of sources. 

You will project manage this pilot to ensure success and, using the outputs, help us understand how to scale up the pilot for roll out across the business. In addition, you will also manage the implementation of a new online learning management system.

The second element of the role will be designing and delivering performance and needs based learning activity across our business.  You will design and deliver behavioural and soft skill learning and development, bespoke interventions and contribute to the design of a new career development framework.

What we are looking for

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience of working in an organisation with a 70:20:10 approach to learning
  • Ability to commercially understand business performance and its drivers
  • A track record of the design and delivery of behavioural based training content
  • Understanding of full training lifecycle through to evaluation
  • Confident, engaging  and skilled facilitator and coach
  • Effective project management skills
  • Ability to influence and build credibility with a range of stakeholders
