My client, a pharmaceutical/life science business in a period of positive change, is looking for a Recruitment Business Partner to set up a recruitment function, develop processes and make the recruitment life cycle fully effective across the business.

Reporting into the HR Director you will create, implement and take responsibility for the recruitment strategy. Using a mix of direct sourcing and recognised approved suppliers, you will develop short and long term pipelines of talent to ensure business needs are met. The role will require you to immerse yourself within the business, understand what they do, build excellent working relationships with stakeholders and be seen as a trusted advisor. You will develop internal processes, manage internal KPIs and deliver a top class recruitment service. When the foundations are in place, the role will evolve into a more strategic one, looking at employee branding, social media strategies, improving the careers website and any other ad hoc tasks that you think will benefit the business. Working closely with the HR Business Partners, you will take a long-term view to recruitment, understanding potential future business needs and be involved in succession planning and retention.

It is essential that you have worked in a pharmaceutical, life science or clinical business previously. You will have worked in-house and ideally have successfully established a recruitment function, or at least been involved in process improvement. You will understand recruitment best practice, take a proactive approach to your work and have a genuine interest in being part of changing culture and performance. You will line manage a Recruitment Advisor so ideally will have managed or mentored staff previously.
