Senior HR Business Partner
Hungerford

Reporting to the VPHR, and working as part of the International HR Leadership team, the Senior HR Business Partner is responsible for supporting key members of the international senior leadership team.

You will be responsible for delivering best in class HR to your respective customer groups, and you will do so through leveraging internal stakeholder relationships across the various global centres of excellence and from within the senior operational leadership team. You will own and drive the people agenda for your international customer group to ensure the delivery of the Company's wider global growth aspirations.

Detailed Job Description

This role will see you partnering with commercial and functional executives with operational responsibilities across the international business (EMEA and APAC). There is currently no line management responsibility for the role and the focus is on Talent development, Culture, Organisational Design and Change. Main attributes for success will be around a talent (versus process) orientation, the ability to think strategically, experience in matrix's (particularly under US ownership) and experience in multi-territory working. Interested candidates must have worked in a partnership capacity.

Broadly you will be:

  • Acting as a commercial HR Business Partner to your management teams.
  • Acting as an active contributor to the International HR Strategy.
  • Acting as coach and mentor to the wider management team.
  • Working with GSO, Compliance and other corporate directorates as required to implement corporate programmes across the region.

Candidate's Profile

There is strong support for the people agenda from the ELT and a genuine commitment to ensuring the commercial strategy is supported by the people strategy. The business is also experiencing significant growth and investment and you will need to be comfortable working at pace and have experienced significant business transformation in your previous roles.

Interested candidates must be keen to work autonomously and have demonstrable experience of business partnering with a complex and matrixed customer group. You should be confident and assertive and consider yourself very strong at building rapport and delivering through excellent client relationships. Passion is a clear identifier for this business as is being an outgoing, confident and sales / service focused individual.

You should have:

  • HR management experience gained in a multi-territory environment, preferably in a highly matrixed environment. · Experience of US owned businesses.
  • Good knowledge of employment legal practice.
  • Previous line management experience, preferably in a non-HR role.
  • Proven ability to make sound and rational judgements and decisions, particularly in situations of high ambiguity.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
  • High standard of business English.
  • Proven experience working within a matrix management structure and handling multiple activities at the same time.

In addition you should have:

  • HR management experience gained in a multi-territory environment, preferably in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Good knowledge of employment legal practice.
  • Previous line management experience, preferably in a non-HR role.
  • Proven ability to make sound and rational judgements and decisions.

What's on offer

Basic salary to £95k plus bonus. There is a car or allowance, pension and PHC.
