We are thrilled to be working with our client to find a permanent, full time HR Manager to join their HR team based in Manchester. This is an opportunity to join an innovative organisation and provide a full HR service to the Manchester Office which is effective, efficient and client centred.
*Manage all HR functions within the Manchester office, in line with national HR policies and procedures.
*Ensure adherence to culture and values at all times.
*Contribute to policy, strategy and operational redesign.
*Work with the business to build recruitment/development plans for team growth.
*Provide coaching in Management/Supervision, Team Development and any other appropriate area.
*Attend meetings to provide HR and business advice and guidance.
*Provide guidance and support through disciplinary, grievance and absence management processes.
*Establish remuneration market data for the sector and identify local HR Manager networks for exchange of information.
*Assist with key strategic HR projects.
*Manage all related budgets and costs and provide financial and management reports as required in a timely and accurate.
*Manage all direct and indirect reports in line with the businesses best practice.
*Support the L&D team with the co-ordination of training.
*Oversee the maintenance of employee files in line with statutory and business wide requirements.
*Manage the recruitment process
*Implement diversity plans and actions in accordance with the businesses national diversity strategy.
*Provide advice on absence management. Work closely with the Learning and Development team to undertake training needs analysis and follow up training including effective induction of all new staff
*Advise and facilitate grievance and disciplinary procedures in line with policies, reflecting ACAS guidance at all times. Assist in developing and maintaining up-to-date HR policies and guidelines and initiate periodic consultations with management to develop recommendations for development.
*Oversee and manage successfully the induction of new staff into the office in close liaison with their Manager/Supervisor
*Assist with initiatives to develop people and culture to meet the demands of a fast-growing and fast-changing business environment.
*Support and develop line management in handling absence and disciplinary cases. Provide monthly reports to Payroll Deal with general correspondence. Administering and monitoring sickness, maternity leave, holidays, overtime, etc.
*Implement new processes and procedures in the office. Ensure effective implementation of all policies. Establish and maintain effective relationships with all staff. Providing support and assistance to all staff including general welfare and wellbeing.
Skills and qualifications
Educated to degree level or equivalent
IT Literate and capable of being self-supporting
Ability to inspire confidence
Self-confident, calm and assertive
Strong communication skills
Competent understanding of employment law
Evidence of coaching ability
