We are seeking to appoint an experienced HR Shared Service Centre professional ready for their next opportunity. This new challenge will allow you to bring your experience to bear in an institution going through an exciting People transformation. The University has already made progress to create a ‘People Customer Service Team’ from several separate transactional administration functions, including HR Administration, Recruitment and Resourcing and Payroll. We are now helping the organisation hire an experienced Head of People Customer Services to support their on-going transformation to develop a Shared Service function that the organisation can be truly proud of.
This is an exciting time for the People Customer Service Team as they create the best possible user experience for their customers. Having completed the first phase of the transformation, including the implementation of a customer relationship management system, driving all People queries through the People Gateway, they are looking for a dynamic individual to continue the momentum on this journey.
Encompassing the newly created People Customer Service Team, Payroll, MI and Systems, you will be managing a team of approximately twenty staff (supported by a Team Leader and functional Managers). Essential to your success in this role will be your skills and experience as a change agent, ensuring continuous improvement is at the forefront of the service delivery. This will support your ability to deliver on a number of key projects including the implementation of a new HRIS system, performance management systems and creating an overseas service centre hub.
We are open to hearing from candidates from all sectors although experience working in a variety of public and private sector organisations would be advantageous. What is important is that candidates have experience of operating in a global, complex organisation, embedding a highly performing Shared Service model, project management and systems implementation rather than having operated purely in a ‘business as usual’ role.
Having worked in successful businesses throughout their career, strong candidates will know “what good looks like” enabled through transformational change. Candidates will have significant experience of managing payroll and pensions processes, technical MI/systems know-how and capability to be able to demonstrate excellent people management, team communication and engagement skills.
