The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) is the UK’s lead competition and consumer protection authority. Formed in 2014, our primary legal duty is to promote competition, both within and outside the United Kingdom, for the benefit of consumers.

We are looking for a Senior HR Adviser to take the lead on the management and utilisation of our data and take responsibility for all held personal data at the CMA.

You will work with a HR Officer to manage and deliver internal and external management information requests and data returns. The requests and returns vary from Freedom of Information requests, to regular monthly reports, to published statistics about CMA staff. As Senior HR Adviser you will use your strong Excel and analytical skills to ensure our data is always accurate and our reports are comprehensive and informative.

One aspect of your role will be to support our pay activities, including preparing information for pay discussions and managing our gender pay gap reporting. You will be confident that you have the technical skills to analyse and present pay information, and we will turn to you to develop our pay models and conduct our pay reviews to ensure that we are making informed choices about our overall pay strategy.

Competencies

We'll assess you against these competencies during the selection process:

  • Relevant experience of working with Management Information in a HR role
  • Experience of using MS Excel to monitor/track workloads and produce Management Information and reports
  • Experience in using HR systems and databases
  • Evidence of preparing HR communications, dashboards and reports that are appropriate to the audience
  • Experience of managing and motivating staff
