Artis HR are currently recruiting for a HR Business Partner, This is a permanent full time opportunity working as a HR BP for a start-up subsidiary of a large international group who are extremely innovative and forward thinking. The role will be paying £45-50,000 + £5,000 car allowance, up to 20% bonus and additional benefits.

Role summary
*To develop and deliver plans to address strategic business and people issues as part of the Human Resources team, working in partnership with the Chief Executive and Senior Management team.
*To provide direction and advice on people strategy by attending and contributing to relevant business meetings.
*To monitor the development of employment law and best practice and assessing this against Filton's needs advising on anticipated impact of changes in the law.
*Responsible for all employee relations issues within and for supporting management teams with solutions focussed HR support with a commercial and proactive style, whilst complying with relevant legislation.

*Working closely with the Chief Executive, develop and deliver people plans that address strategic business issues. Provide direction and advice on people strategy to enable the business area to become cost efficient and innovative, operating within Group HR policy & procedures.
*Support senior level recruitment for the Filton site development and lead or contribute to allocated project work as agreed with the Group Director of HR and Chief Executive.
*Provide solutions focussed proactive HR support and advice in a consultative style, to support the development and commercial objectives of the business.
*Functional HR lead on restructures, redundancy and TUPE exercises to ensure that they are compliant with employment law, collective arrangements and Group HR policy.
*Change employees terms and conditions in line with business need by consultation and negotiation with employees.
*Monitoring the development of employment law and best practice, and assess against the existing business area to advise on anticipated impact of changes in the law. Recommend updates to corporate HR policies and guidance on best practice in light of changes in the law and communicate changes to managers and staff to ensure consistency legal compliance.
*Responsible for employee relations and coaching managers on all issues including performance management, disciplinary and grievance issues. Preparing cases up to and including Employment Tribunals, with reference to the Group Director of HR and external legal advice as required.
*Develop and manage effective consultation and negotiation arrangements with employees and TU's within
*business area and within overall Company collective arrangements to help maintain good employee relations.
*Developing effective working relationships with management teams in specific business areas to understand business needs and support these with consistent HR policies/input
*Provision of workshops in people management processes, including appraisals, absence management and performance management to ensure line managers are up to date on legal requirements and company policies &
*Supporting HR team members by advising and assisting on day to day responsibilities and provision of understanding of processes to ensure consistency and legality
*Ensuring that recruitment processes are followed and that all processes relating to new starters are in place to

*Working closely with Group Occupational Health over long-term sick cases/ill health retirements to ensure that sickness absence is managed in line with Group HR policy.
*Working with managers on the annual salary review process to ensure that salary increases are within corporate budget, communicating new salaries to employees and liaising with payroll to ensure correct payments are made on time.
*Producing ad hoc and monthly reports for contributing to discussions on business issues such as retention, manpower planning and absence management with management teams within business areas. Analysing the statistics, making recommendations and acting on them to ensure compliance with company policies & procedures.
*Providing specific HR research and project work, as required from time to time to investigate/address specific issues/topics (e.g. benchmarking/best practice).
*Member of Hay Job Evaluation panel to evaluate jobs up to Management grades to ensure jobs are allocated correctly within company grading structure.(only temporary accountability )
*Responsible for overseeing all corporate audits processes in own business area including right to work/recruitment audits, data integrity reports and DVLA checks as required.

The candidate
*5 years plus proven experience in a HR generalist role at Business Partner level, specific experience in property
development sector desirable
*Practical understanding of consultation, restructuring and TUPE
*Up to date knowledge of employment law.
*Able to influence effectively at all levels of the company
*PC literate - Microsoft office, Microsoft Outlook, Trent HR system, Internet research
*Trained in Hay job evaluation (desirable)
*Current driving licence
*Excellent communication skills, with a high level of verbal and written fluency
*Strong analytical and commercial acumen
*Well-developed problem solving skills
*Strong commitment to service qualities
