The Ruskin Mill Trust Group operates five colleges and associated residential provision in Nailsworth, Stourbridge, Sheffield, Birmingham, Pembrokeshire as well as an associated site in Darlington and an independent specialist school in Sheffield and Stourbridge. We provide innovative and experiential education for children and young people with special learning needs, developed out of the inspiration of Rudolf Steiner, William Morris and John Ruskin.
Ruskin Mill Trust is now looking to recruit a new Human Resources Manager, based at Ruskin Mill College to support the provisions in Nailsworth and also Coleg Plas Dwbl in Pembrokeshire. Working as part of the Central Services function of Human Resources you will primarily be responsible for the management, development, and promotion of the human resources function within these provisions, ensuring a visible presence and proactive support always considering that there is a Trust wide approach to Human Resources.
The successful candidate will have a track record of managing an HR operational Service; be CIPD qualified and registered with CIPD as MCIPD or higher or equivalent qualification and experience. They should have an effective knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice and its practical application as well as being experienced in the delivery of training and other learning interventions.
You must be an outstanding communicator and be open to learning about the method and values of the Trust as well as being able to manage and use your time effectively and deal with conflicting priorities as well as demonstrate high levels of discretion and confidentiality.
