Reporting to the HR Director you will sit on the senior HR leadership team. This team work together to set the HR strategic direction and people agenda for the business. Your role will be to ensure the people across this organisation have the skills necessary to ensure the business achieve its ambitious plans. This role will see you managing a L&D function so it is a necessity that you can demonstrate strong leadership skills. Your role will be to build the L&D strategy for the business, working closely with business leaders and the HR Director to develop a best in class L&D offering.
People development, engagement and talent retention are all key aspects that this organisation prides itself on. Your L&D strategy will span the entire organisation but will pay particular attention to building a market leading leadership development framework. The organisation has ambitious plans and these will only be realised with great leadership. You and your team will therefore play a pivotal role in the growth of this organisation. You will work at the very highest level in the business working with the CEO and their executive board developing board level exec programmes, the importance of the learning agenda will be driven from the very top of this organisation. Your L&D strategy will also address all other areas of the business from technical & operational training through to induction and management development. The organisation are a business that truly embraces digital so they are looking or someone who can use all the latest thinking in digital learning to develop an unrivalled learning programme.
You will be someone with a can do attitude, you will move at pace but be able to demonstrate where you have taken people on a development journey. You will be able to demonstrate a background of leading learning across an organisation and building L&D teams. The organisation are looking for L&D professionals who are currently carrying out an internal L&D role rather than coming from a consultancy background.
