HR Advisor - Canterbury, Brighton or London (SE1)
£28,321 to £32,830 (+£3,150 Recruitment and Retention Allowance, London only) Starting salary will be the lower end of the pay scale.

The CPS stands up for victims and witnesses of crime to deliver justice in England and Wales. You'll help support the delivery of our business objectives and the vision of our Area Business Centre. Working collaboratively across the Area and with the HR Directorate, you'll share good practice and insight with your colleagues. You'll soon discover that decision making in the South East can range from the simple to the complex, but your day will always be rewarding and you’ll leave with a sense of achievement. You'll often find yourself advising senior managers upon the interpretation of HR policy and being mindful of the impact of such decisions under the Equalities Act. This means that you'll need to have in-depth knowledge, confidence and credibility as well as great relationship-building skills.
Your HR background will show that you can provide accurate and timely HR advice, even during periods of change. You'll be proactive in progressing HR cases, analysing MI data, identifying trends and more. You'll also be keen to independently advise staff and managers at all levels and to escalate more complex issues to the right people when required. Throughout, you'll remain focused on your customers across the organisation.

The post can be based in Brighton, Canterbury or London SE1. If London based there will be weekly (approximately 2-3 days per week) travel to the Brighton, Canterbury and/or Guildford offices. Please be aware the current London location will change in 2018 with an expected move to London SW1. If based in London a Recruitment and Retention Allowance of £3,150 be paid, this is not applicable in Brighton or Canterbury.
