HR Officer - City Hall, Central London
Greater London Authority
City Hall, Central London SE1
£31,533 per annum
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Human Resources Officer to work in the GLA HR team and have responsibility for providing HR support to the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC).
You will help ensure the effective and efficient delivery of a shared HR service to MOPAC by being a key point of contact for MOPAC staff at all levels, and for applicants applying to work in MOPAC, and getting involved in a wide variety of HR responsibilities.
You will provide the full spectrum of human resources activity, including recruitment, administering payroll and contractual changes, advising on terms and conditions, and providing advice and guidance to staff and managers on a range of operational and policy issues.
Your track record will be in a similar role where you have provided a first-class HR service to staff and managers. You will possess a good knowledge of employment law, and a pragmatic approach to implementing HR policy and procedure. You will have exceptional communication skills, be able to use your initiative with good judgement, and understand the importance of confidentiality.
We are a complex, diverse and busy organisation, so excellent planning, organisational and customer service skills are essential, together with a flexible and collaborative approach to work.
We are committed to being an inclusive employer and we are happy to consider flexible working arrangements. We would welcome applications from candidates who are seeking part time work as this role is open to job share. The expectation of part time workers is they would be able to work a minimum of 2 days a week. If you would like to find out more around the flexibility or about the role in general, please contact Olivia Clear on 020 7983 5557.
In addition to a good salary package, we offer an attractive range of benefits including 30 days’ annual leave, interest free season ticket loan, interest free bicycle loan, flexible working options, childcare voucher scheme and a career average pension scheme.
