Leadership Development Specialist
This is the perfect opportunity for a highly experienced L&D professional to work for a customer obsessed and people centric business who are currently transforming their entire Learning & Development offering. The role will focus primarily on Leadership and management development.
Recently, the L&D team have worked closely with stakeholders across the group and the board to completely revitalise the entire colleague experience and establish the career journey. The entire induction programme has been rewritten, a new IT system has been commissioned and other initiatives have been implemented and the team is excited to see return on investment over the next two years. They've also established a brand new learning programme which is currently in design stage. This programme will look at the entire career journey right from the moment a colleague starts in role, enable them to establish themselves within that role and the business, right through to enabling and supporting them to succeed and progress into team leader, management and senior management positions.
It's pleasing to see that the company grows their own people internally, but it's clear that a Leadership & Management Development framework is needed in order to harness key skills, tools and behaviours for colleagues to be truly successful and, at the same time, if someone leaves, the business has developed its up and coming talent and high potentials to a level where they are able to step in and facilitate any movements.
This person will need to be as strong operationally as they are strategically and will need to be able to build relationships with and influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels across the group. The L&D Manager will need to be resilient and agile and must be able to demonstrate previous experience landing large scale, complex projects and programmes across group companies. It will primarily focus on the leadership and management development capability and will also manage a highly skilled team on a day-to-day basis and so previous team management experience is essential, as is clear and demonstrable expertise in designing and rolling out Leadership and Management Development frameworks. This person needs to be engaging, collaborative and seen as a keen advocate in understanding what each stakeholder is trying to achieve from a leadership programme.
