Deliver policies that will shape our workforce for tomorrow
As HR Policy and Project Lead, you will not only support senior colleagues with innovative projects; you will be the one to develop and deliver essential people policies that reflect the latest HR thinking. With around 1,200 employees and a further c.800 contract staff, FCO Services will need you as a vital part of their team. And you’ll use your organisational skillset to provide coherent processes that will support employees across the globe.
Build on your confidence to communicate at all levels
Collaborating with senior managers, trade unions and employees to create smarter solutions is essential to this role. Your excellent communication skills will prove to be a vital asset when continuously informing, challenging and influencing people in an environment that often calls for diplomacy and tact. Having an HR Policy background is essential for giving you the knowledge and experience to deal with these more challenging areas of your work. If you also have a CIPD qualification, so much the better.
Develop systems that will take us somewhere new
Implementing new policies calls for you to use your project management skills, exploring new ways of using technology to share policies with employees both locally and globally. You have a real chance to impact important work, not only for our
government customers – including the Foreign and Commonwealth Office – but also for you and the people you’ll support. In short, it’s your job, bigger.
