Macildowie HR are working with an award winning business in the Coalville area as they are looking for a junior HR Officer to join their small and friendly team of 2! This is a permanent position, offering a salary of up to £20,000 plus other benefits.
You will act as the first point of contact for all HR queries for the entire business and support in the HR Managers absence
Recruitment will be a part of this role, organising the recruitment schedules, drafting and placing adverts, and ensuring recruitment process is adhered to at all times.
Onboarding and inductions will also play a big part in this role as you will be responsible for administering the new employee process by preparing contracts, offer letters and reference checks.
You will arrange induction schedules for new employees and liaise with line managers to ensure they are aware of their responsibility in the induction process.
Ensure the HR Database accurately reflects current staff conditions and details this includes inputting starter and leavers, contractual amendments, change of details, annual leave and recording of sickness and other leave i.e. Maternity/Paternity.
You will support the administration of training needs which includes liaising with providers, booking courses, raising purchase orders, arranging in house training courses, compiling training agreements and logging on the CDP database.
There are also projects for you to get stuck in to such as revamping the employee handbook and make sure it is aligned with the company brand and values, you will also support with the new time and attendance system which is in the early stages of being rolled out so managers will need training on how to record the information accurately.
This is a fast based business so in order to be successful in this role you must have proven HR Administration experience and an eye for detail as the business have incredibly high standards
You must be a self starter, someone who wants to push forward with their career, look for the faults and come up with solutions. The HR Manager will not always be around so it is paramount that this person can work well on their own but also to timescales as some projects will be critical to the whole business.
You will work alongside the Reward & Benefits Administrator so some knowledge around reward would be helpful but not necessary; however you must be able to work well within a team and learn to support each other.
There will be an occasional night shift, perhaps once a month, this is to increase the visibility of HR across the business but also to ensure that all employees have a relationship with HR and know they need to talk to, should they need to. So flexibility is required in this role (notice will be given)
