Location – Esher with some travel to Centrl London, Reading, Basildon, Ashford (in Kent)

Salary -  40-55k per annum + car allowance

Contract type – Permanent

What can we tell you about this great role?

You will be working for an engineering business with a great reputation. It is a really nice place to work and you will be working with a passionate HR team that is focused on delivering a great service to the business.

There are about 20 in the HR team. This includes HR Administrators, HR Advisors, a Recruitment and Talent Manager and 3 HRBPS’S. The HR Advisors and Administrators sit in small shared service.

The team at admin and advisory level have been trained up to manage some ER work but they need somebody who is more experienced to deal with complex cases. This is where you will come in…

What will be keeping you busy?

As well as more generalist HR activities, they are ultimately looking for someone that can pick up complex ER casework. This is currently managed by the Group Head of HR (who you will report into).

This is a unionised and blue-collar environment so whilst industry experience is not required, it might help if you have worked with unions. You may need to navigate these relationships from time to time.

There is a key emphasis on building good working relationships with your client groups and they do want someone that is prepared to travel to the key sites outlined above.

Who are we looking for?

We would like to see someone that has experience of partnering client groups of reasonable size. You may not have held a HRBP job title and if you are a Senior HR Advisor that has this experience, that is fine.

Fit is really important here. They are looking for someone that is on an upward trajectory in their career and is keen to progress. You should be someone that has the ability to take people with you whilst being professional and good-humoured.

You will of course be able to demonstrate a strong track record of managing complex ER casework but we would like to see a good breadth of HR experience.
