My client is a large Retailer who is looking for a Regional HRBP to partner with senior leaders to execute the people strategy required to achieve the business and people plans and ensure the business is a great place to work. This role will provide a specialist HR service to a retail area working with the regional manager and store management teams to ensure effective leadership and people results.

Dimensions:

•The role holder will be responsible for partnering with a number of senior leaders/leaders across the business

•Responsible for delivery of relevant projects as required by the business/people plan

•Responsibility for a team of HR Advisors

•Role covers a headcount of approx. 8,000 people

Key Relationships:

•Store Managers,

•Regional Managers

•Trade unions

•Wider HR Team

•External business networks

•Work with HR Centres of Excellence

Accountabilities:

•Focus on stores to deliver efficient contract base and manpower planning with right people in right place at right time. Ensuring stores have colleagues when our customers need them

•Driving colleague engagement through everything we do, develop robust regional survey plans

•A passion to listen to our colleagues and make improvements in how we do things for our colleagues and customers

•Leading by example and inspiring improvements in others

•Driving the regional talent and succession plan. Ensuring the region has a future pipeline of Managers & Senior Mangers

•Leading, motivating, coaching and developing the store personnel teams and trainee store personnel managers

•Providing a full range of HR services to ensure effective people management that is fully aligned with the retail plan

•Acting as a trusted business advisor, contracting with the centres of excellence where necessary, to support the business in achieving transformation and performance improvement

•Working as a pro-active HRBP. Working on cross functional business projects and supporting new initiatives to drive business performance

•Playing a key role in implementation and delivery through effective partnerships with the business, centres of excellence and where relevant the shared services centre

•Proactively drive improvements to business performance

•The analysis of key people metrics (internal and external) and employee insight to identify ways of enhancing employee engagement and driving business performance

•Leading and/or supporting the effective development of and implementing projects, driving and embedding change

Suitable candidates for this role will have strong background of working in Regional HR roles within Retail environments. This role does involve occasional weekend working and Regional Travel across your region.
