Ashley Kate HR are pleased to be partnering a public sector organisation who are now looking for HR Advisors (12 months FTC) to join their team in Cambridge. You will work closely with the HR Manager providing general advice and guidance to managers, continuously developing creative solutions. You will support and coach managers throughout the full process of disciplinary, performance and change management programmes. Ensuring good employee relations is maintained, it is essential that you liaise with the Trade Union at all times. You will need to be an experienced HR Advisor comfortable with leading on cases and supporting managers on any employee relations issues. You will be involved in supporting change management projects including restructures and TUPE transfers. You will need to have the ability to provide pragmatic HR advice and develop a range of options and creative solutions that take account of business needs.
Due to them having offices throughout the county it is essential that you drive as you may be out at different locations up to 2 days a week.
HR Advisor – The person
• In-depth practical experience of generalist HR
• Sound knowledge of UK employment legislation
• Sound experience of using data effectively
• Understanding the role of Trade Unions
• Ideally, CIPD qualified
• Ability to support managers in dealing with change management
