I am looking to attract a HR and Payroll Manager on behalf of my Doncaster based client. Newly created role paying up to £45k plus benefits.

About the Role

The HR and Payroll Manager will oversee the payroll and the HR Administration function for the Organisation. Reporting to the Head of HR this role will be expected to deliver on the following:

  • Coach, lead and develop the HR Administration team to assist with advice to managers on policies and procedures
  • Handle complex HR Admin queries effectively
  • Control the monthly payroll process, including checking of payroll to ensure accuracy & deadlines met
  • Coach, lead and develop the Payroll team
  • Check ad-hoc payments to ensure all authorisations and compliance is adhered to
  • Assist with administration of annual salary reviews and bonus process
  • Meet all deadlines in accordance with the Service Level Agreement to the Business
  • Ensure all employee and HR information is accurate and checked to be so and maintained in line with current data protection legislation
  • Update employee data and files while maintaining HR systems and data integrity
  • Provide the Organisation with relevant and up to date changes to legislation
  • Assist the Business and wider HR team on numerous projects

The HR and Payroll Manager will arrive with a broad skill set and be able to demonstrate:

  • Depth in terms of managerial capacity
  • A thorough understanding of an often complex payroll
  • Outstanding customer service standards
  • Experience gained in a high volume and demanding environment
  • An ability to lead a team through change
  • An understanding of HR principles
  • Ability to adapt to new technology and systems
