My client, a leading global management consultancy firm are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Staffing Coordinator to cover a 12 month maternity leave. Working in a team of 6 this role will work with the most senior partners in the company to understand project needs and achieve optimum deployment of consultants to projects. Whilst working closely with the consultants to understand their goals to assign them to projects that best match their development.

Ideal candidates will have staffing experience within a professional services environment, excellent communication skills and confidence as you will be dealing with high profile projects and negotiating with senior partners across the firm.

Role Requirements:

Work with Senior Partners and to achieve optimum deployment of consultants to projects

Understand upcoming projects and expected staffing requirements

Assign staff to projects, proposals, other sales development work

Work closely within the staffing team to match and balance the needs of the consultants with the project requirements

Work closely with Consultants to manage their staffing needs and advise them on upcoming projects, and understand their goals and preferences

Communicate all along the staffing process with Partners and consultants

Communicate daily with the partners to maintain up-to-date view of the project pipeline and the needs of the business

Attend quarterly Career Development meetings to provide staffing perspective on consultants and better understand their individual development needs, strengths and weaknesses.

Act as link between the Career Development Committee (CDC) and staffing team

Maintain accurate records of staffing assignments and pipeline

Balance the needs of partners, clients and consultants in making all decisions

Liaise with European counterparts to assist with international staffing requests

Approve consultant holiday requests

Work with training team to understand schedule and availability of staff

Provide cover to the London Head of Staffing when required

Provide general holiday cover to staffing team when required

Managing on-boarding of new joiner consultants including regular mid-point check ins

Candidate requirements:

  • Experience within staffing (4.5 years)/strong interest in staffing

  • Ideal experience would be within management consultancy and professional services

  • Strong communication skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to influence, persuade and negotiate

  • Highly organised

  • Diplomatic

  • Proactive - ability to manage own workload and be autonomous

  • Ability to work at a very fast pace and work under pressure

  • Ability to take initiative
