My client is a bio-pharmaceutical business based in the City. Due to growth within the business, they require an HR Business Partner to join the business on a 6-9 month FTC basis.

Reporting directly into the HR Director, the HR Business Partner will work in partnership with organisational units, functional Heads and business management to implement the Company's strategic objectives. This will involve taking the lead on and ensuring the alignment of HR management plans and solutions for the various business units. You will sit on the HR function management team and work closely with (Associate) Directors for Recruitment and Learning and Development as well as the HR Programme Manager to ensure the business receives high standard, tailored and integrated HR support and solutions that are fit for purpose and support business objectives.

This is a generalist role and duties and responsibilities include:

Developing strong partnering relationships with senior managers and directors, acting as an internal consultant to diagnose, develop and implement effective HR strategies that keep you ahead of the game in people issues

Drive effective HR practices which are appropriate to Company's culture, its international and intercultural nature and organisational unit's size and growth ambitions

Provide challenge and insight to ensure alignment with Company's strategic direction and organisational unit's goals, driving change

Work with the Learning & Development team and assigned business groups' leaders to identify and plan the development of their teams to improve performance and capability

Support retention and development of high potential individuals, developing robust succession plans

Provide guidance and oversight on complex employee relations issues, giving guidance on performance management

Support and deliver projects where required, including leading and participating in staff engagement and change initiatives in support of the organisation's vision, culture and values

Keep abreast of current legislation/trends and best practices in order to develop practical and appropriate policies and practices, that are relevant to the ongoing needs of the designated areas of business and the Company

You will be an experienced HRBP with exceptional relationship building skills and the ability to think and operate strategically. The business has a start-up feel so it would be highly beneficial if you are used to working in a fast paced, fluid and changing environment without fully mature systems and processes. You will be highly commercial and business savvy using to taking the initiative and making informed people decisions that support the business and its objectives. It is expected you are degree and CIPD qualified or equivalent. In addition you will be highly resilient and creative, able to work well under pressure and cope well with change.
