Head of HR - London

We are looking for a Head of HR to join the London team. You will report directly to the COO of the London business, and you will be an enthusiastic professional who is able to deliver across a number of key areas, including Union Relations, Staff Communications / Culture, Employment Law / Right to Work Legislation, and Maintenance of staff files / records - particularly in relation to large numbers of front line service sector workers.
You will lead the London HR team, and your main responsibility will be the London operating business with around 1700 mostly front line staff / bus drivers – although you will also support some other companies in the group where appropriate.
We appreciate that you may not be an expert in all areas but you must demonstrate you are resourceful and able to research and deliver solutions to challenges. The ability to network and build a structure of external support will be essential.
You will be responsible for managing the acquisition of any necessary external HR advice at all times ensuring value and service. You must be able to demonstrate that while you have the ability to work independently, you are a strong team player capable of working with / supporting a variety of different functional teams. We are looking for an articulate and attentive Head of HR with a broad background covering most areas of the function.
Salary package will be negotiable, and would include a discretionary performance bonus and access to a defined contribution Company Pension Scheme.
