HR Advisor

Key Tasks

Service Delivery
*Work with managers and staff to develop relationships with HR including promptly responding to queries and managing expectations
*Acting as a first point of contact for HR issues.

*Advising managers on recruitment and selection strategies
*Acting as the lead in the team on recruitment for the organisation
*Coordinating the appointment process for successful applicants
*Support and develop recruitment campaigns
*Instigating the on-boarding process (including drafting offer letters and contracts for Head of HR review and signature)

*Providing advice and playing a major role in work reviews and change processes including team/departmental restructures

Employee relations
*Ensure Human Resources matters are handled fairly and consistently in line with legal and company requirements
*Support the HR Manager with grievance, disciplinary and capability investigations and hearings

They are looking for someone with the following attributes:

*Ability to manage own workload effectively, balancing deadlines and maintaining accuracy
*Excellent administrative skills
*Key experience of working with and advising line managers
*Team orientated
*Results focused
*Sound working knowledge of HRIS and payroll systems (preferably Cascade)
*Experience of co-ordinating recruitment processes
*Sound working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook
*Previous experience of working in a unionised environment (desirable)
*CIPD qualified/part qualified or desire to qualify
*Confidence to work across all levels of the business
*Practically minded: able to roll sleeves up and get stuck in!
