This is an exclusive and highly regarded business with an accomplished thirty-year history. Our client designs and manufactures high-value bespoke products for a discerning global client group and as such has an employee base of highly specialist designers and master craftspeople. They have ambitious plans to further build the business and with an eighteen month order book (and insufficient trained and available craftspeople to deliver those products swiftly) they have decided the time is right to bring on board a senior HR specialist who will drive the people agenda
Reporting into the MD (founder and owner), the remit will be to harness the business' specialist skills to engage, develop and retain the right people to help achieve its ambitions of continued profitable growth.
The successful candidate will have the experience, intellectual rigour and aptitude to partner the MD and the leadership team in developing the business strategy, organisation and the future 'route map'. They will be impactful and able to challenge the status quo delicately from time to time, whilst harnessing this business' natural entrepreneurship and ambition. They will have experiencing of coaching and mentoring to the highest level,
A broad generalist HR skill set is taken as a given, and a focus on training, development, creating an Academy, apprenticeship programmes etc will be useful.
