People Director - UK role - very good six figure salary

It is now looking for a talented People Director to develop and lead the existing team to drive forward and deliver the people strategy, in line with their cultural evolution.

Over recent years their HR Board has championed the people agenda, however, now is the time for them to appoint a recognised expert.

The successful candidate will help the leaders shape the future, drive a high-performance culture as the business evolves to maximise opportunities created via digital ways of working and to enable delivery of the corporate strategy which is focused on international growth. We're looking for a commercially astute candidate, someone who can demonstrate the positive difference they bring by enhancing the profitability of the business.
Working with the existing team of HR and technical training professionals (technical and professional training is delivering extremely well to the business) the successful candidate will implement and imbed the new people strategy into the business.
As you would expect in a people business like this, success is down to having highly trained and engaged qualified professionals available to deliver to clients' requirements. Recruitment, on-boarding, induction, training, developing and resource planning are key drivers of organisational success.
Who will this role suit? Whatever your background, we're looking for a commercial, customer focused and technically strong HR professional, someone with the experience, gravitas, entrepreneurial flair and intellect to drive this international business forward - a true business partner and sounding board.
You must have experience of growing similar sized entrepreneurial and values driven businesses or divisions,
Very relevant sector experience is not essential, although candidates who are most likely to be attractive to our client are those who can demonstrate they have worked with business leaders whose goals are centre ground to their client service targets, budgets and operational efficiencies.
"Rolling up one's sleeves" will be important so we are looking for candidates to demonstrate they can deliver operational excellence and work at pace in a fast moving highly competitive international business. Whilst a high proportion of the UK staff are London based, this role need not be. You'll need to be comfortable with working in a variety of UK locations with the main hubs being in London, Nottingham and Bristol. Further UK and some international travel will be anticipated as the business expands into new and profitable geographical territories too.
