In this part-time HR Adviser role you will have the opportunity to support two very different organisations both going through change. Working in our central Bristol office you will have a key role alongside the HR Business partner for the region in addition to the central HR Service Centre. In this fast-paced role you will have the autonomy to provide advice and support managers through continuous change.

What will you discover? As the public body that champion`s England`s historic environment, we help people understand, value and care for a diverse range of cultural records from the stone-age to the contemporary. We also continue to support English Heritage through a shared services agreement, as they manage a range of historic places across the country as a charity.

In this role you will be continually challenged by changing business and organisational dynamics and providing pragmatic HR advice through interpreting polices. You will be focusing on supporting managers and empowering them to be self-sufficient and have a proactive approach to recruitment and performance management. Through building relationships based on trust and providing experience based judgements you will be able to have a direct impact on organisational performance.

As a generalist you will comfortable with working in a complex and changeable HR environment, from completing monthly reports, filing and post through to interpreting policies and making decisions on how best to advise managers. You will ideally have some specialist knowledge around recruitment, training and disciplinary/investigation based work.

This is a fixed-term role for maternity cover up to one year working part time (28 hours per week), and you will be working within a great team environment, with some regional travelling required.
