An opportunity to work for one of the leading global professional services firms, located in The City of London. The opportunity of International Mobility Manager would suit an experience mobility manager as there are two junior staff members to manager as well as working closely with the Global Head of.

The role:




  • Further develop the centre of excellence for international mobility throughout the network
  • Identify and drive the sharing of knowledge and insight across HR to facilitate continuous improvement, and consistency of application, of our global policies
  • Provide leadership regarding mobility to HR colleagues and build capability within own team globally
  • Act as first line of management to IM colleagues in the London office.
  • Deliver international secondments, transfers and/or ad hoc mobility projects as required on a national, regional and international basis
  • Manage international mobility tracking and reporting
  • Build relationships and credibility with key partners and staff across the network
  • Establish commercial relationships with external providers to obtain immigration advice for Partners and staff on a range of immigration issues
  • Establish commercial relationships with other external providers, such as tax and relocation vendors, to be fully conversant in their provision of services and engage them when necessary
  • Ensure that the firm is immigration and regulatory compliant in our international mobility cases, and advise HR colleagues on relevant practices and processes in respect to immigration
  • Keep up-to-date with legislative changes. Evaluate and communicate potential, change-related impacts to the firm, and provide recommended solutions
  • Provide HR colleagues with the information needed to handle international mobility queries and coaching them to have quality and compliant conversations with their stakeholders
  • Provide input into mobility cost projections, and liaise with HR colleagues and the other stakeholders to obtain business case sign-off
  • Provide proactive and commercially-relevant advice as necessary on all aspects of international mobility policy and process
  • Support and proactively promote mobility policies and change management processes
  • Promote consistency of international mobility packages and ensure the firm's policies and procedures are applied in a fair and consistent manner
  • Review and improve mobility processes where needed
  • Work closely and collaborate with the international mobility team worldwide
  • Lead and participate on regional and global IM calls and presentations

Experience


  • Significant previous experience as an International Mobility manager
  • Expert knowledge of international mobility processes including, but not limited to, experience with immigration/visa requirement and providing relocation advice
  • General knowledge of Expat Tax related issues and topics for the international mobility population
  • Strong internal client service focus and client relationship management skills
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively across all levels of the firm both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and proven experience in undertaking activities that contribute to meeting the firm's strategic objectives
  • Ability to influence without the need for direct authority
  • Strong leadership capability and demonstrates this through upholding ethics and values
  • Strong advisory, coaching and facilitation skills
  • Experienced in dealing with ambiguity and adapting to changing circumstances
  • Prior leadership experience in managing others is highly desirable
  • Experience of supplier management and sourcing
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to understand new concepts quickly and put learning into action
  • Flexible, adaptable and able to cope with change
