A globally established manufacturing organisation that has been through a highly exciting period of change is seeking a HR Manager to provide a complete end to end generalist HR service to a diverse internal customer base.
Following a recent acquisition, the organisation in question has gone through a period of sustained change, realigning policies, processes, Terms and Conditions and headcount to ensure the UK business successfully fits the global business model.
As HR Manager for the UK’s flagship site you will ensure this change continues at a site level, providing a business partnering service to a Senior Management Team consisting of both new employees and those that have grown with the business. You will be a true Business Partner to this Management Team ensuring that you understand problems that the business faces and coming up with business related solutions, as opposed to enforcing HR solutions upon them!
This is not a business-as-usual/maintenance role, and challenges will be at every turn! The Plant Manager requires a strong HR Manager to support from a HR perspective; you will be involved in steering the site based HR agenda whilst forming part of a newly established UK HR team; you will take ownership of and deliver projects that align with global company needs including engagement, morale, systems etc.; and oversee a HR team to ensure operational and tactical delivery meets business requirements.
To be considered for this role you must have:
Experience of FMCG/blue collar manufacturing environment;
Worked as part of a senior management team with personality traits of challenging and guiding a Senior Management Team;
A high level of professionalism, dynamism and the ability to make a decision swiftly without guidance from a UK HR Manager;
The ability to see the bigger picture, understand what needs to be done at a local site based level.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to establish yourself as a key HR practitioner with the business, whilst making a distinct impression at both a site and national level.
