Your new role
The People Group function within the organisation has recently begun a transformation programme to reflect a new way of working, aligned more strongly with the business and adding greater value to the organisation strategy and organisations ability to compete and be successful in the future.
The People Group key roles within the new model include HR Business Partner, a shared People Services Team, and Organisational Development and Resourcing and Talent Expertise.
As the Head of Talent & Resourcing you will be a key member of the People Group Leadership Team working within a business partnering model, fully supported by Centres of Excellence. You will be responsible for the development and implementation of the Group People Plan, with specific accountability for ensuring the organisation has the requisite talent and skills it needs in the short and long term.
This role will lead and maintain its employee value proposition to maximise the organisations ability to attract and retain the people needed to meet its strategic objectives.
Work closely with the senior management teams to develop, review and implement talent and resourcing frameworks that are robust, fit for purpose and cost effective.
Ensure effective processes which identify skill and capability gaps to enable this organisation in achieving their goals including the delivery of development activities, recruitment and succession planning to ensure the right skills and behaviours are in place as needed.
Create costed Resourcing and Talent plans which inform the budget process and enable effective review of return on investment and continuous improvement.
Set the vision for the Resourcing and Talent team and inspire them to deliver it; build a highly performing team which demonstrates accountability and clarity of objectives and which utilises and develops the skills, knowledge and competencies of all team members.
Ensure effective resourcing and talent management within the Resourcing and Talent team in order to maintain and develop a high quality people team with the right skills, ways of working and level of engagement to deliver the People Group Plan.
You'll be educated to degree level (or equivalent), with a CIPD qualification and have previous experience of leading a resourcing and talent planning service in a complex, customer-facing organisation that has seen major change and transformation.
Have specific experience and expertise in managing a diverse workforce strategy.
Have a track record of developing focused resourcing and talent strategies and solutions across diverse workforce models
Have proven stakeholder and relationship management skills, displaying gravitas and credibility to gain early acceptance in and to operate effectively and with the Executive and senior leadership team
Be delivery focused in ambiguity and able to deliver in a maturing business model; acting with autonomy to develop effective solutions where broader frameworks might not be in place or be under development
Demonstrate a team focus and support collective responsibility across the People Group and organisation.
In addition to a generous salary (c£75,000) benefits include
35 hour week
