Are you a focused, commercial and adaptable Change Manager with extensive experience working for large complex matrix organisations? My client, a leading telecommunications organisation, is currently experiencing unprecedented levels of organisational change. The successful candidate will play a key role in engaging and supporting employees through change whilst working with managers to be inspirational change leaders. You will be responsible for the design, development and delivery of change and transformation programmes aimed at sustaining and enhancing employee engagement , building managerial / operational effectiveness and driving organisational efficiency for at least one significant business unit/discipline/ profession/work stream.

Accountable for:

  • Translating and applying strategic and business targets to shape change processes, products and services, and to lead on one or more of the following areas: Design, development and implementation of organisational models to support company, business or functional objectives, organisation efficiency & effectiveness, management & development of behavioural and cultural components, development and implementation of major change approaches and programmes
  • Diagnostic, design and supporting deployment (either directly or through coaching HR Business Partners, Change Deployment or Transformation Teams) of change interventions to mitigate risk associated with deployment of business change which has been designed to underpin delivery of unit operational plans
  • Lead on specific deliverables within the Business Unit change architecture as prioritised by the unit Senior Change Lead in consultation with the Head of HR and Transformation lead
  • Supporting delivery of specific interventions aimed at improving engagement
  • Ensuring risks to your programme are escalated and a mitigation plan agreed

Responsible for:

  • Undertaking specific change or engagement impact assessment to enable creation of interventions to support mitigation of risk, successful landing of change and driving improvement in engagement
  • Work with internal communications team to craft the change story for specific change programmes
  • Support the Senior Change leads in successful implementation of Business Unit people change strategies
  • Where required, lead on specific company wide interventions designed to build engagement
  • Contribute to the development of change management frameworks and toolkits
  • Support the upskill of those with change responsibilities as part of their role (i.e. HRBPs, Change Deployment Managers and Project Managers) where necessary
  • Reviewing data from insight analysis and preparing findings and recommendations
  • The facilitation of any workshops/briefings for the programme

  • Moves the process to a result e.g. pre-present, consult with stakeholders, and create frameworks to accelerate solution creation, raise/close-off/escalate issues

  • Establishes credible, high-trust, productive relationships at all levels of management
  • Influences and persists, deals with resistance, maintains and rebuilds trust when needed

Thought leadership

  • Understands the functional areas of change, when considered as individual elements or seen as a whole
  • Good understanding of latest trends and common themes based on external benchmarking and insight
  • Clearly articulates how change management programmes creates value at an individual, team, and business level

Business/commercial/analytical skills

  • Demonstrates general commercial skills (P&L, cash flow, balance sheets etc.)
  • - driving insight from data, analysing business problems from multiple dimensions (engagement, leadership, OD, etc.) and articulating the causal impact of each of these "organisational capabilities" on business performance
  • Ability to identify broader trends, issues than just the presenting problem
  • Ability to interrogate an issue taking into consideration a wide range of potential root causes and solutions
