If you have the ambition to become the Chief People Officer of a business which is synonymous with Wales' heritage, and significantly transforming the way it operates, then this could be the perfect career opportunity for you.

Our South Wales based client is a market leader in its specialist sector. An admired and well-loved Welsh brand, this is a role we're very excited to be recruiting into. They're a people centric organisation employing over 1,000 employees with headquarters in Cardiff and over 70 branches in Wales and its heartland territory. The recently appointed CEO and leadership team have worked hard in recent months to develop the next five years' business strategy.

Reporting into and working very closely with the CEO, the new Chief People Officer will develop and implement the people strategy which is intrinsically linked to this ambitious strategy.

So why are we so excited about helping them recruit their new Chief People Officer? What's so special about them and this opportunity?

When you meet the CEO and leaders who run this business, then their passion, focus, dedication and drive for success will impress and inspire.

Their mission is clear; it's all about taking what is already a successful values-led organisation to the next level by developing and providing enhanced products and services; strengthening their brand and delivering an in improved employee proposition. From a people perspective, this means delivering strategic leadership expertise, focussing on company-wide people capability, succession and organisational culture as well as the more hands-on aspects of maximising operational and organisational efficiencies. Your measure of success will be that our client has become the region's employer of choice.

So, who will this role suit? With a broad business background, we're looking for a commercial and people focused professional. Someone with the experience, gravitas and intellect to drive this business forward. Culture fit will be all important too and we're looking for a collaborative team-player who can quickly get under the skin of what makes our client so unique and special.

You must have experience of growing similar sized businesses in a number one capacity and have worked at Board level. Sector experience is not vital although candidates who have worked within regulated environments such as in the Financial Services, Utilities or Telecommunications sectors are likely to have very transferable experience.

"Rolling up one's sleeves" will be important, and we are looking for candidates to demonstrate they can deliver operational excellence and work at pace in a fast moving, service oriented business.

The role is based in South Wales and relocation assistance may be offered to attract candidates from outside the region.

So, what will the business offer in return? Quite simply, the opportunity to be the new Chief People Officer and key member of one of Wales' major success stories which is really going places; the opportunity to be part of an amazing organisation with an ambitious and positive future.
