Are you an HR Advisor who would love to find a full Generalist role with a number of exciting HR projects and plenty of opportunities for career progression? This is a brand new unique role working in a HR team which will offer you a truly rewarding experience.

When I met with this small HR team of five I quickly discovered that the reason they are all so passionate about the HR team and company is because they are being offered challenging HR projects and a high level of autonomy by a forward thinking HR Director who wants to retain her best HR professionals.

During the meeting they explained that since her arrival the HR team has gained credibility with the business and are taken seriously by the staff and senior leadership team.

One HR Advisor commented, "Before I came here I knew I had more to offer but felt I was being held back. She makes sure I am out of my comfort zone and encourages me to take on bigger challenges and push myself. I'm really striving towards getting a promotion and know that she will support and mentor me to enable me to get there."

I asked the team to describe themselves and the environment. Some of the comments were:

  • Great work/life balance
  • No ego's or hierarchy
  • All help one another and work as a team
  • Happy and lots of fun
  • High energy
  • Professional with high standards

The role will take ultimate responsibility for managing the day to day HR operations as well as deliver on some of the strategic projects you are involved with. This is a hands-on role where practical HR solutions are essential, along with a passion for providing a first class service to the business.

You will undertake all generalist responsibilities and these will include: recruitment; employee relations; performance management and change management.

Person Specification (in order of preference):

  • Five years HR Generalist experience.
  • Ideally previous projects experience with a flair for thinking creatively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to network successfully.
  • Proactive and able to deliver in a fast-past environment.
