Our client, an Engineering business, has an exciting opportunity for a Head of People to join them on a permanent basis. This critical leadership role will partner with a very challenging, high profile engineering workforce. This HR function has gone through significant transformation under an engaging HR Director who joined in the last 12 months, it's a great place to work offering the right person the opportunity to have a significant influence on shaping this organisation and the HR function of the future.ResponsibilitiesPartner with Leaders and HR team to develop and deliver an effective people plan a for the Engineering and operations business area that will support the business in achieving its business goals and wider people strategy.Manage key people processes and events, e.g. pay reviews etc.Provide Insight to enhance the achievement of the people and business planEnsure operational excellence across the tactical and day to day people activitiesCollaborate with peers within the HR team to develop and deliver organisation plans to achieve the People Strategy.Be a role model - live the values, be a great leader and manager of people and build great, effective relationships.Represent the business externally to support the external employer brand The successful candidate will be a straight talking, pragmatic and practical, outcomes focused HR professional who is great at building trust, innovating, influencing and energizing to create change.
