HR Shared Service Operations Manager

A leading retail organisation in Manchester are looking to recruit an experienced HR Shared Service Operations Manager on a maternity cover basis.
Your new role
This maternity cover contract offers candidates an exciting opportunity to join the HR Shared Service Centre whilst they embed some changes to the service delivery model, and as they head into a busy season. The role is varied but will involve day to day management of the high volume administration processes across the employee lifecycle, ensuring the team are delivering with accuracy within SLA. You will be a main point of contact for HR and Payroll administration, providing support and guidance, building strong relationships, seeking feedback and managing regular dialogue to continue to drive improved performance, both within HRSS and the customer group.
You will also contribute to, and deliver business change activity, successfully implementing change and supporting the team to ensure a positive outcome. You will provide detailed analysis of statistical information to support the business decision making process and HR plan activity, measure and review service performance, highlighting themes and trends to identify improvements.
What you'll need to succeed
It is essential that you have previous operational management experience working within a HR Shared Service, with strong knowledge and expertise in HR Shared Service and/or HR Admin processes. You will need people management skills with demonstrable experience of leading through change - the ability to work as part of a project team and strong expertise in analysing and reporting information, and process simplification and improvement. You should also have a good working knowledge of relevant HR systems, such as PeopleSoft.
