Payroll Manager - £50k to £53k + Benefits - Essex A leading Professional Services/Chartered Accountancy firm based in Essex seek an experienced Payroll Manager to head up their team of Payroll Assistants. The role on offer is permanent and will be reporting directly into a Partner of the firm. You will be the main point of contact and the subject matter expert for all internal and external questions and queries. You will have your own small portfolio of clients to look after but the bulk of the role will be running the team to make sure that the service provided is top class and in line with the terms of business that clients have signed up to. The role:Managing, leading and developing a team of Payroll AssistantsBeing the main point of contact for all questions and queries from the teamLook at ways of developing the skill set of the current team through training and one 2 one timeBe the subject matter expert for all client question and queries and providing a top class customer service experienceWork closely with the Senior Partners when dealing with new and existing clients: This could include attending meetings, client calls and even tendering for businessWork closely with the team when their portfolio of clients increase/decrease as and whenWorking with clients who have monthly, bi weekly, fortnightly and weekly payrolls Skills required:Ideally you will have STAR systems knowledgeYou must come from a Chartered Accountancy backgroundHave managed teams with more than 6 members of staffTake pride in the development of team membersStrong communication skills at all levels of business internal and externalBe able to demonstrate client control through success and development of relationshipsBe able to deal with all payroll related questions and queries from clients and your direct reportsBe a strong business partner If you feel that you have the relevant skills and experience required please apply to this role.
