Payroll Manager £50k to £55k + Bens - Essex

A leading Financial Services organisation based in Central Essex seek an experienced Payroll Manager to head up their payroll offering and manage a dedicated and stable team.

Reporting into the Head of Reward the role of the Payroll Manager is as follows:

Be the subject matter expert for all Payroll related questions and Queries for the UK headcount

Oversee the processing of 3 monthly payrolls, systems, ledgers, journals and annual returns to HMRC

Work closely with the Head of Reward and HR Business Partners

Lead and performance manage the Payroll Officers


Make sure that the payrolls are produced and administered on time with high levels of accuracy

Close liaison with Reward, HR and Finance

Be responsible for the journals for staff salaries

Make sure that the staff benefits are administered correctly with appropriate deductions

Monthly reconciliations: Income Tax and NI Balances

Produce P11D's on an annual basis

Complete RTI submissions to HMRC

Keep up to date with all UK and related Payroll Legislation

Be involved and lead all payroll related projects: Systems Implementations and streamlining procedures
