Employee Relations Specialist
We are working with a leading FMCG company who are looking for an Employee Relations Specialist to work closely with the business. Supporting several manufacturing sites, you will manage employee relations cases from start to finish. You will join a great time at a business that truly invests and supports its staff.
Reporting into the HR Operations Manager, the ER Advisor will take the lead on employee relations across multiple sites and work closely with the business to upskill the managers to take a proactive approach to employee relations. Working predominantly with blue collar workers, you will manage a high caseload of cases ranging from sickness, absence and disciplinaries to more complex and sensitive cases. The business is looking to help management pre-empt and reduce the number of cases so you will coach and upskill them to improve their ability to deal with potential issues.
The successful candidate will have an excellent knowledge of UK employment legislation and be comfortable dealing with a high caseload in a fast-paced and high volume environment. The sites are unionised so you will ideally have worked with Trade Unions and be comfortable in managing the day to day relationships with them. You will be able to follow process, work autonomously and take a commercial approach to any cases. It is ideal if you have been involved in the preparation for tribunals and are comfortable working with solicitors on cases.
