HR Assistant - Brighton
Location: Brighton - Moulsecoomb
Salary: £22,214 to £24,983 pro rata
17 hours per week
Do you have an interest in recruitment? Are you highly organised, with an excellent eye for detail and good administrative skills? Do you combine friendliness and professionalism?
If so, we want you to join our busy HR recruitment team where you will liaise with recruiting managers, support and advise them on all aspects of their recruitment and deliver a proactive service. You will become highly proficient with the university’s e-recruitment system and will also be responsible for ensuring that all employment checks and documentation, including for casual new starters, are processed accurately and on a timely basis.
You will need:
- The ability to plan and organise a busy workload
- Previous experience in an HR environment and with using an HR/Payroll database
- A broad understanding of employment law in relation to recruitment and selection
- To be proficient in the Microsoft suite of packages
- Level 3 CIPD or a willingness to achieve it.

Further information about the post and what we are looking for can be found in the job description/person specification. The post forms part of a job share arrangement and hours of work will need to be Monday and Tuesday and, ideally, Wednesday (although there may be some flexibility around the third day).
