To make change happen successfully, we’re focusing on developing and engaging our people, and modernising both how and where we work. Key to this is making sure we have the right people in the right place, with the right skills and IT, managed by motivated and capable leaders. Our People and Organisation Development Directorate (POD) will be instrumental in achieving this.
As a Capability, Skills and Performance Expert, you will be critical in helping us to re-shape HMRC for good. The HMRC Executive Committee will rely on your close support to build high performing teams by consolidating existing skills and further building capability. We are focusing strongly on fostering greater collaboration between leaders. With your impressive skills in organisational design, strategic learning and executive coaching, you will be pivotal to transforming ways of working across our large and diverse leadership community.
Championing leadership that is inspiring, confident and empowering, you will make a significant impact over the course of your two-year contract. Working within the POD Learning Academy, you will collaborate with a host of talented and dedicated colleagues and a wide range of senior stakeholders. You will identify, shape and share best practice; embed new approaches, tools and techniques; and drive the capacity of our senior leader teams to respond to business and organisational challenges.
To be equal to the challenge, you will need a track record of working in a large, complex and fast paced organisation that has built strong capability. A highly credible strategic organisational development lead or executive coaching lead, you have played an active and important role in overcoming performance challenges. Using project management techniques to deliver interventions, you have been integral to achieving transformation to successful team working. As well as being a skilled leader, you are an expert builder of professional relationships. You will bring to the role a proven flair for influencing, engaging and coaching people at the highest level.
