My client, a large national charity, are looking for a Regional HR Business Partner to join their team for a 12 month maternity cover. The Business Partner role will cover a large region including Berkshire, Reading, St Albans, Harrow, Edgware, Hemel Hempstead and have autonomy to manage and organise your own workload. The geographical spread will mean you will visit different sites on a regular basic according to the business needs. As the HRBP you will be required to attend HR meetings on a monthly basis in Central London. For this position it would be ideal if you have a driving licence and own transport. The position will ideally start mid to end of October to allow a hand over.

Within this role you will be primarily responsible for working directly with manager within your region, supporting them in all areas of people management and organisational change to ensure the business needs are met through the delivery of HR practices.


    Partner line managers, develop a deep understanding of their business needs and work with them to give pragmatic guidance in all areas of people management.

    Support managers in addressing high volumes of casework, including performance management; absence management and dispute resolution and through insight and trend analysis, work to address and minimise these cases.

    Ensure that staffing structures are fit for purpose and support recruitment and selection activities

    Promote and support managers in ensure effective people management, including reviewing training levels, ensuring that regular staff briefings, supervision and appraisals are completed. Liaise as required with the Learning & Development team on learning & development matters.

    Coach line managers in handling challenging and/or sensitive people situations.

    Take part in or lead HR projects as requested.

This position would be ideal for an experienced HR Advisor of Senior HR Advisor who would like to get more exposure and take a step up. You will need to have strong ER issues experience (disciplinary, grievances, sickness absences), plus experience of supporting hiring managers during restructure and service review.
