Are you looking for a new opportunity as a HR Assistant on a permanent, fulltime basis?
You will provide an effective and efficient HR support service which meets the customer needs within current policies & procedures. This role would be an ideal opportunity if you have sound system knowledge and you are looking for that next step in your HR career.

Key Responsibilities
·Ensure all new entrant identity and safeguarding checks are undertaken and liaise with managers regarding supervision to ensure a robust process is followed
·Assist the Payroll & HR Systems & Project Officer to supervise the work of the HR Systems team and deputise in the absence of the HR Systems & Project Officer as and when required.
·Assist in the development of the HR Information System (iTrent) and the implementation of functionality development
·Assist in the production of management reports as required by the business.
·Produce contracts of employment, appointment letters, induction details and probationary review
·Assist in the maintenance and development of the HR electronic signature software.
·Assist in the maintenance and development of the HR document management system
·Assist the HR Systems & Project Officer, HR Manager and Director of HR to identify opportunities to improve the service and systems within the department and add value to the operation
·Assist with HR Case Studies, including minute taking, as and when required
·Represent the Department at College meetings, AoC conferences, workshops etc. as and when required
·Participate in cross-college development work as a representative of the Department
·Exercise integrity in respect of confidential matters and personal/sensitive information, ensuring that HR records are kept in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
·Provide a professional customer service to both internal and external customers as and when required
·Provide an effective and efficient professional service which meets the customer's needs within current policies and procedures, best practice and legislation

Knowledge

Essential:

·HR Policies and Procedures
·Current employment law
·Data Protection Act
·The ability to process accurate, high quality work under pressure and to tight deadlines
·Microsoft Office systems

Desirable:

·Use of integrated HR/Payroll Software
·Use of reporting writing tools
·HR Database/computer Systems, preferably iTrent
