HR Business Partner
Macmillan Davies are delighted to be partnering on a retained basis with a leader in its field to recruit an experienced HR Business partner. Currently employing 120 staff across two UK sites, this is an exciting time to join an innovative manufacturing business who earlier this year became a PLC and are now looking to expand by setting up operations initially in Europe with future expansions expected on a more global basis.
Working in a stand alone HR capacity, you will initially be based in Burnley with a potential move to new premises in the Preston area. You will be required to provide commercially focussed HR advice, guidance and support to the business to enable directors and managers to achieve strategic and operational goals and objectives.
Alongside the above, key tasks will include:
*Manage recruitment and talent management processes ensuring that company structure is appropriate to meet business objectives.
*Research, design and implement HR policies and procedures for the business. Advise and, where necessary, actively coach line managers on the appropriate interpretation and application of the same to raise managerial confidence and competence levels.
*Manage all third-party specialist service suppliers including compensation and benefit advisors, employment law experts and payroll providers.
*Work closely with directors and managers to identify and manage people related financial and reputational risks arising from commercial contract and business acquisition and new site set up. Ensure risks are identified, evaluated, mitigated and managed from project inception through to completion, taking advice from external specialist advisors as necessary.
The successful candidate will ideally be CIPD qualified, with proven experience as an HR Business Partner/ Manager in a complex, multi-site environment. You will have the capability to work in a stand alone HR role at both a strategic and operational level and be able to establish and maintain sound working relationships with line managers, employees and their representatives. The ability to balance commercial business considerations with good HR practice and a requirement to minimise reputational risk is essential and European/international experience is advantageous. There will be regular travel to their second site in the South East so flexibility is required.
